Throughout the month of January the German version of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, entitled The Jungle Camp entertained viewers on a daily basis. German publisher, Bild.de followed all of the action during the two weeks the celebrities lived in an Australian jungle camp and provided viewers with an interactive Second Screen experience.
More than 5 million viewers engaged with the Bild interactive fan experience during The Jungle Camps’s two-week run. The show’s engaging format that has viewers cast daily votes for the celebrity they would like to see face a “difficult task” and later vote for their favorite to become the “Queen” or “King of the Jungle,” lends itself well to using CiL for coverage.
The news leader’s Social TV experience incorporated a live chat with moderated comments from users that provided a fantastic commentary around the night’s programming. Twitter content adds an additional voice in the live experience, while polls allow an additional opportunity for viewers to participate in Bild’s conversation.
