Images are a great way to add additional interest to a live event and EventStudio makes it easy to upload images on-the-fly. To add images instantly to your live event simply drag and drop images right from your desktop to the comment box, or use the “Add Event Media” link to upload directly to the event. For publishing later you can also upload media items right to your onboard Media Library. Many users like to include captions with their images so in our latest release we’ve improved the workflow to make this even easier. Now when you upload an image a Media Caption box will appear, allowing you to quickly add caption text. We’ve also added a built-in Rich-Text Editor to make it easy for you to customize the text size, colour and style and easily add HTML or direct links to external sites. Easily post an image and link the caption to a related editorial article, or directly to a product page. (By the way – in case you missed it – back in April we improved our image display meaning all of your events now get bigger, bolder images!)
EventStudio includes a YouTube search option so you can easily find relevant YouTube content during your event. We’ve had some users tell us they want YouTube videos to auto-play when published, and others who want to give their Readers control of when a video is played back. As a result we’ve added a new setting to allow Writers and Producers complete control over this setting. By default YouTube videos will not Auto-Play (Readers can click to play, just like when they watch YouTube videos on the rest of the web). However for those users wanting their video to play instantly, they can easily turn Auto-Play “ON” from the EventStudio “Settings” tab. The setting can easily be switched on and off throughout the event as needs change. Using the Auto-Play option is a great way to easily feature inline Video Ads, or to ensure all Readers are watching a video at the same time.
We know Twitter is an important content source for your events and that’s why we continue to bring you new Twitter display options. In our April release we added the ability to specify a language filter for Auto-Tweets and now we’ve also added a Language Setting for Twitter Search keywords. You can select to “Include All” or filter by 14 specific languages. CoveritLive’s robust Twitter filters are a great way to cut through the Twitter noise and they make it easy to find fresh relevant content when searching for a popular keyword or hashtag.
